Small Pond Advertising was a “Birdie” hole sponsor at the recent Port Orange Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament which was held at the Spruce Creek Fly-In Golf Club. This event is big fundraiser for the Chamber.
The Small Pond Team of Ken & Priscilla Clark, and Mike & Kim Stucky of Advanced Air & Heat played well and carded a 7-under par score. Not bad for a bunch of hackers that even bested some other good golfer teams . Here are Ken and Mike negotiating for more strokes from Blake Thomas of Blake Thomas – State Farm Insurance.
Blake was unsympathetic.
And let’s guess who walked away with the Woman’s Longest Drive and Closest to the Hole prizes???
None other than our own Priscilla Clark!!! Way to play girl…
I still hear this a lot. Well, it just aint’ true. Case in point — as I was about to enter a local pizzeria the other night only to come upon this person, phone book in hand (our New Smyrna Beach yellow pages, not the Telco book) locked in an intense discussion with what sounded like a sibling, providing them with a list local service providers they should be contacting..
Since I didn’t want to be obvious I took the picture from the other side of the parking lot. And yes, that appears to be an iPhone in his hand. Good thing he has all that high-powered technology at his finger tips.
Yes, the internet and mobile technology have become a big part of our lives. Heck I walk around with 2 iPhones (story for another day). But if you want to find it fast, if you want to be able to differentiate between businesses especially in a category/heading where you are not an expert, and you want a local business, nothing is quicker that a print Yellow Pages featuring local small businesses.
You can also find us online at www.SmallPondYP.com…
Here is Bob receiving his 40″ TV from Small Pond Publisher Ken Clark for his entry in the 2013 Port Orange Yellow Page user survey.
Clark noted that “…the response from Port Orange residents who use our books to the user survey was overwhelming. It shows that print Yellow Pages do still work for many buyers looking for local businesses in the Port Orange area.”
Small Pond will be running the same contest again in the 2014 Port Orange directory which will arrive to 40,000 residents and businesses in the Port Orange area in September. Look for this year’s entry information in the back of the yellow page section. And everything that is in the printed directory can also be found online at www.SmallPondYP.com.
